As part of the completion of the project entitled "Ancient Kydonia History Tour" we invite you to a three-day event at the Archaeological Museum of Chania and in our city, to experience a different experience through playful musical elements, using augmented reality technologies.

The project will offer the opportunity for residents and visitors of the city to familiarize themselves with a grid of historical heritage concepts and motivate them to delve into the history of ancient Kydonia, with the aim of becoming active participants. The training through Augmented Reality and Serious Games, incorporating visual and audio content, introduces visitors to exciting modern technologies, which will help them to learn about the historical past of the city of Chania through diverse 3D visualizations and music.

Through the cooperation of three bodies:

the following were developed and presented:

• Playful Augmented Reality experience with Hololens 2, inside the Archaeological Museum of Chania.
• Playful Augmented Reality experience for Android mobile devices, in exterior places of historical importance of the city of Chania.
• Interactive application for touch screens, inside the Archaeological Museum of Chania.
• Information app for information on important historical sites of Chania for mobile devices.

Next Thursday, July 20 at 17:00 we invite you to the amphitheatre of our Museum to experience ancient Cydonia from a different perspective, through presentations and screenings by the project's collaborators.

On the following Friday and Saturday, 21 and 22 July from 12:00 to 19:00, project partners from the Technical University of Crete will welcome you to the permanent collection of our Museum, to lead you step-by-step to a playful augmented reality (AR) experience through Hololens 2 devices.

On the same days, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 July, from 18:00 to 21:00, project partners from the Technical University of Crete will be waiting for you in the park of Yamboudaki Street (Arkadi Square) to introduce you to an equally -but different- playful augmented reality (AR) experience through Android mobile devices.
